Dental appreciation

Over the last few years, we have invested heavily in not only dental equipment but dental education. This has been driven by the pathology that we continue to see on a daily basis. Young or old we are identifying more pathology than ever.... why? Well I think it comes down to having a look, to see what is going on inside there.

As winter is approaching we are finding this is a great time to get some of our older patients assessed to make sure all is well there for winter. Incisor pain caused by EORTH can really slow these older guys down and we need to consider do some teeth need removed? It is amazing to see how much more comfortable many of them are once we have removed some incisors that are loose or causing pain. X-rays may often be taken to assess what is going on in there and then removal may be needed.

We know winter can be tough on some of them so ensuring that they can eat all we are feeding them can make a hinge difference to not only your horse but also the feed bill.

So if you would like to organise a time to get your horse assessed then drop us a PM or message and we would be happy to help you. Note there are discounts for 5 or more horses at the same time. All horses receive a mild sedation at the time to allow us to examine the mouth properly.
